I loved this place!, prices were good and the food blew me away I’m still getting used to the area but I can absolutely say that this place is worth a try! Also the Dam Fries are to kill for but I probably should bring someone next time since I’ve got leftovers as a result
Very nice local hangout. The owner Scott was a really good guy. We had a chance to chat a bit. Nice crowd, good atmosphere. The grilled teriyaki chicken taco was fabulous. I’d highly recommend this place.
Was our first time and was greeted by the owner Scott he was very friendly and accommodating the food is fabulous not to mention the quantity of it we were able just to get by with just eating appetizers and still had some to take home. Looking forward to going back soon. Thank you Scott
We stopped by Scott’s after a visit to the Johnstown Flood Museum. It’s such a great neighborhood bar. Owner is super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely visit again next time we are in town!
I enjoyed my experience! It is a small bar but tastefully done. I met the owner, who I assume is Scott, and he was such a nice guy. He shook my hand and thanked me for coming in. I had the Taco which is their specialty and it was excellent. I'm glad I ordered the small because it was big. If you are in J-town, I would recommend stopping in!
If there is a more welcoming, warm and friendly place to get great food and drink, I'd love for someone to tell me. I don't think it exists other than your family table. Great bar food, wide selection of spirits and beer. Staff is ultra friendly as regulars came in and out the entire night. Found ourselves staying, not really knowIng why. We will definitely be back and recommending it every time.
As others have said, this is a really great place. I came from out of town to see a Tomahawks game and there are plenty of fans that come here. The owner Scott is all over the place, mingling and helping with food/drinks. Really great guy. This is a bar where everyone seems to know each other, but outsiders are welcomed. Oh yeah, the tacos...huge and filling!
We love this place! Stopped in after a Tomahawks hockey game for a few drinks and we were happy we did. What a great neighborhood place to hang out and relax. My husband's name is Scott so he and the owner had a good time being 'Scott' together 🤣😂. A must stop when in town!!
I just came into Scott’s By Dam by happenstance in the middle of the day for lunch. I was so pleasantly surprised with the excellent price, ambiance and the friendly staff. Scott did such an excellent job at making me feel welcome and valued. The food quantity was enormous as well, the large Buffalo chicken taco was massive as well as delicious. I highly recommend coming to try the food and meeting the wonderful people here.
My coworker grew up in Johnstown so I asked her where is a good place to eat? She told me Scott's by Dam. He will treat you well... he treats everyone well!! What a wonderful eatery. Great food served by an incredible family who welcomes all. Nobody is a stranger here! Super place. Super people!
